“Just the facts, Ma’am.”

I am a 62 year old man of mostly Scandinavian extraction. I live in Hillsboro, Oregon with my son, daughter-in-law, and 2 young grandsons. I have my BA degree with a major in music. I spent 6 years in the US Navy as an enlisted man followed by several years in the insurance business in claims, underwriting, and marketing. In my 45^th year I went to commercial truck driving school and did about 1,000,000 miles as a long haul truck driver. And recently I have been operating a small on-line selling business. 

My oldest grandson started kindergarten this school year (2007) and I want to see that he gets the best education he can from the public system with much support from his family.

In 2005 I started volunteering at Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve in Hillsboro, Oregon. I spend ten hours or more a week on various tasks. Recently I participated in our City’s Hillsboro Police Department’s Citizen’s Academy, a 35 hours program learning all about the operation of the department.

This should give you a starting picture of who I am. I’ll be modifying this “About” as it seems appropriate.
